Day 2
12 hours in the saddle and a distance of 85 miles covered. Was it a good call to avoid the A30? Um, to late now of course but we both felt like mountain goats on arrival in Okehampton. Rained cats and dogs in the morning and a steady flow the rest of the day. Not pleasant but it kept us cool. We have managed to cycle every inch so far and hopefully that will be the case for the rest of the trip. A slight problem with the last 200 yds, One of JB's back spokes went bang so we must get that fixed first thing.We won't think about what might have been if it was 20 miles out from the night stop.Sooty will have to go on a diet. Hopefully it will not delay us to long as its another up hill and down dale day ahead of us. Target is Street tonight.Our thanks to Ann, Liz and Bob who put us up for the first night.
