Day 8
Up and on the road at 0530 this morning. Finished at 1745 a little weary to say the least. 89 miles covered via Carlisle, Gretna Green and a lot of the B7076 ending up in Abington. I think Shap took a lot out of us as we had a nearly two hour lunch stop with a nice catch up sleep. We also had a headwind that made life very tiresome. We hope to overnight tomorrow in Tarbert. This is where our boat Siona Of Fyne was built so I am really looking forward to seeing that. A lot colder today but we kept dry which was a plus.Total mileage is 596. We met three lads that left Lands End last Sunday and aim to arrive at John OGroats this Friday. One of them has already done this before and in resonse to me saying he needed to get a life he said he had one but it was s***
