Day 9
At last we are past Glasgow. Total mileage for today was 82.left late this morning, 07.30. Could have been something to do with the pint John W bought us last night. Lovely to see you all. John's daughter, Dawn, has 5 huskies and today as we went through Larkhall we were greeted by 2 of them. Tempted to hook them up to the bike. Apparently they would have loved it. Used the sat nav on the bike for the first time today to get through Glasgow. Worked a treat and then followed a cycle route out of town to Loch Lomond. Not a good idea on reflection.Came up the A82 past the Scottish Golf Open. Road very quite when we went past but judging by the cars in the car park it didn't stay that way. Last part of journey today was along the cycle path following the Loch. Wonderful and if you have never done it you should.Dave the trolley found a great site by the loch. Only problem is the squadrons of mossies looking for fresh meat. Must also say thank you to Corrie and her daughter,Caitlin, who drove out of Glasgow this evening to say hello. Lovely to see you both. Its now 21.35 and Dave the trolley has been in bed for 20mins already! Sheila his wife will never believe it. Fort William tomorrow. 63 miles but I have a feeling it will be an up hill and down dale sort of ride.
Goodnight camp followers
